Euryan to take part in AIMday at the University of Edinburgh
Euryan will take part in AIMday Data, Digital and AI at the Bayes Centre, University of Edinburgh, on Thursday 10 September 2026. The event is hosted by the University of Edinburgh with Edinburgh Innovations.
AIMday is built on challenges submitted in advance by the organisations taking part. The challenge Euryan has submitted is the one at the centre of applying neuro-symbolic AI in regulated industry: how to hold full traceability on every output while still handling the novel edge case.
Euryan has its own proposals on that challenge, built into the platform it is developing for design risk documentation. Euryan's founder will put those proposals to the group to be challenged and tested, validated or otherwise, and to have researchers bring their own thinking to the same problem.
Each challenge at an AIMday is discussed for one hour, in a small group made up of researchers and representatives of the organisation, with researchers signing up to the challenges that match their expertise. The format was established at Uppsala University in 2008 and is used by universities internationally.
AIMday is intended to lead somewhere. Its stated purpose is an exchange of knowledge and ideas focused on finding possible collaborations, and that is what Euryan is there for: a working relationship with the University of Edinburgh, and research support on the parts of this problem that merit it.
